Athlete and coach of the Armenian national team, 2022 European Champion in the 81 kg class with a 354 kg total (160+194).
Harutyunyan is also a two-time U23 European Champion and a World Junior Championship bronze medalist. In 2025 he won European Championships silver at the senior level.
He simultaneously serves as Senior Coach of the men's national team, combining his competitive career with coaching duties.
