Armenian weightlifter, two-time European Champion (2021, 2023) and World Championship bronze medalist (2022). Since 2025, General Secretary of the Weightlifting Federation of Armenia (WFA).
In 2021 in the 102 kg class, Gasparyan won European gold with a 390 kg total (176+214). In 2023 he repeated the feat in the 109 kg class with a 395 kg total (175+220). In 2022 in Bogotá he claimed World Championship bronze in the 102 kg class.
In January 2025 he announced his retirement from competition due to injuries and was appointed General Secretary of the WFA.
